By Ashley Thekiso @AshOfCeremonies [Program Director/MC, Entrepreneur & Freelance Writer] Dear fellow hustler: You put on a look that says ‘I made it’ when we all know you aren’t even trying, and yeah those who know wealth can see your broke self through the fancy clothes. You carry on like you have a thousand more years to live. You follow trends like ‘YOLO’ but you do not even know the people who start them. You wear, eat, sleep and talk what you see on television [thee box for people with too much time]. You hang with people who complain with you on a daily basis and you expect good results from it. You continue to do the same thing and expect different results from your unproductive ways. Stop It!!! South Africa has countless opportunities and growth potential in many different sectors of business yet we hear of a young business person ‘waiting’ for funding every single day. Today in South Africa we see a new breed of entrepreneurs and professionals; we see a new era in the ‘hustle’ that we all used to think was mastered over a long period of time. Examples of South African Entrepreneurs who bootstrapped their ways into their respective industries are; Sibusiso Leope, Lebo Gunguluza, Tebogo Ditshego and plenty more. All of the above mentioned entrepreneurs started with close to nothing. None of them were found chilling waiting for funding; they worked hard to get noticed in the business world before they could live the lives we see them living today. A lot of our young entrepreneurs start out with great enthusiasm only to get caught up in the future where they will supposedly live wealthier and happier than they are now. You see; success does not make happiness, it enhances happiness if you were happy. If you are not happy in the journey chances are that you will not be happy reaching the destination. All things worthy are worked for. Every single person who is a force to be reckoned with today started somewhere down there where you are right now with the only difference being that he was working while you are sitting waiting for ‘funding’. All Ash is saying is; let us just get up and find clients, make do with what we have and get the momentum going. Start the week with a positive note regardless of the negative of last week. Take this week as a fresh start to do amazing things with your life. Take responsibility for making the funding you need for your business to blow up. It may be challenging but it is not impossible because I know people who have done it!!  It is up to us to oil up the economic engine of South Africa, let’s pay our dues in this game so that when we finally make it; it is worth it. We have been given this freedom by those who came before us; the least we can do is prove that we deserve it.                   Existence is given; Life is a choice – Ashley Thekiso
