The organisation exists to reduce inequality in South Africa, and its track record of matric results, access to post-school opportunities, and alumni success is proof that positive change is possible.  The Programmes Administrator supports the Programmes Manager and branches. Reports to Programmes Manager and based in Johannesburg. He/she is responsible for coordinating logistics of the Programmes Manager travel, accommodation and scheduling. This post would be best-suited to someone with excellent administration skills who's interested in gaining high-level experience and insight into the inner workings of a fast-growing, high-impact national non-profit. Administration
  • Ordering and distributing learning materials for branches
  • Liaising with service providers on behalf of branches
  • Assisting the Programmes staff with the  info, documents, templates, processes and tools they need in delivering the programme at branches
  • Assisting the Programmes Manager with verification of branch entries into the database
  • Procurement and couriering of IY branding material (Regional banners, pamphlets) and business cards.
  • Create templates for and consolidation of Termly Branch Reports
  • Receiving, analysing and filing of BranchCom, and Regcom meetings minutes
  • Assist the Programmes Manager in preparing documents required for Board and Subcom meetings
  • Undertake investigative and research based work as per the Programme needs/requirements
Finance-related admin
  • Consolidate monthly expenses for the Programmes Manager, scan receipts and save them to Dropbox
Scheduling and logistics
  • Scheduling meetings, booking flights, car hire and accommodation
  • Assist branches with branch events scheduling and implementation
Qualifications and competencies
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in an environment that uses virtual communication
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Highly organised, self-reliant, good problem-solving, results-oriented, multi-tasker with superior administration skills and excellent judgment;
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with both external stakeholders and team members;
  • Decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritise and self-manage
  • Excellent track record in project management
