party             You’ve decided that you want to take a break from partying for a while. Maybe you want to save a little bit of money, maybe you've never really enjoyed it that much. But you do still want to get out and be social while seeing your friends. The problem is, partying is such a big part of going out and having fun when you're a student. So, how do you have fun without partying? Luckily, it’s not as difficult as it might seem. Here are some tips. Avoid going out for just one drink Bars and clubs are pretty terrible places if you’re not in the mood to party. There are only so many soft drinks you can consume in a short period of time. And let’s be real, if you’re the only sober person around, you might not have much fun. If your friends want to go out to a club or bar, rather suggest going somewhere else or doing something else entirely. Soon it’ll be natural to meet up somewhere other than the bar. Don’t draw attention to your lack of partying If you’re not comfortable telling your friends that you’re taking a break from partying, be subtle about it. Casually suggest other activities to do and places to meet up. Soon they won’t even notice that you’re not partying because they’ll be used to seeing you in those other situations. Find other social activities to do Of course, you’re going to need to find the other activities to keep yourself occupied. A great excuse for not going out for a night of partying is that you have to be up early the next morning. Get outside and active early in the morning by participating in your local Park Run or simply going for a jog around your neighbourhood or campus. You could spend the evenings watching movies, either at the cinema or at a friend’s house, or go out to see a play once in a while. There’s also bound to be plenty of activities taking place on campus. You might never have noticed all the clubs and communities on campus. This is your opportunity to get involved. There are so many benefits to not partying. You can wake up early in the morning feeling refreshed and ready for the day. You can be fully aware of what you did on the weekend with no memory loss. And the ultimate benefit? With all of the money you’ll save from not going out partying, you’ll soon be able to buy one of the pre owned cars you’ve had your eye on. Image: Pexels
