Spring party The weather is finally starting to change and you can feel summer is on its way. It’s also a few months before exam stress is due to hit. So, why not celebrate by throwing a party? It’s a great way to catch up with all your friends and have a fun night without worrying about how you’re going to get home. Of course, you don’t just want to throw any last-minute party. You want to throw an amazing party that everyone will be talking about for the following month at least. And here is how to do it. Decorations The theme is spring, obviously, so you need to decorate accordingly. And what represents spring better than flowers? Of course, buying a whole lot of bunches of flowers may be a little too much for your student budget. So, why not go to your local stationery shop and pick up some colourful paper? Cut out petals etc. and make your own flowers to stick up on the walls. Even better, ask your art student friends if they wouldn’t mind helping out in exchange for free pizza. Drinks Of course, you’re a student so you probably can’t afford to stock up on booze for everyone. But you could always make a fresh punch mix for your friends to enjoy when they arrive. Ask around for recipes that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Punches are a favourite amongst students so you won’t struggle to find one that you like. But it’s always a good idea to have a non-alcoholic punch available for the sober drivers and those who don’t drink. Food There’s no way you’re going to serve a four course gourmet meal at your party. You already know that. But it’s always a good idea to have some snacks to serve throughout the night. To go with the spring theme, find a some fruits that are in season. Cut these up into pieces and slide them onto a skewer. Everyone will love these so they may run out quickly. That’s why it’s important to add some other snacks, like chips and popcorn. You don’t want to run out after the first few guests have arrived.     Throwing a party is a great way for you and your friends to forget about the stress of varsity life for a while. So, move your lounge suites out the way, put on some music and host a night to remember.   Image: Pexels
