UCTrapist-jpg The case against the suspected University of Cape Town (UCT) serial rapist has been transferred to the Western Cape High Court. Patrick Hlomane appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates Court today. Hlomane has been charged in connection with attacks on at least three women near Rhodes Memorial since November last year. Hlomane made a brief appearance on charges of rape, attempted murder and kidnapping. The court previously heard he evaded arrest for several months by using various aliases. Hlomane is set to make his first appearance in the Western Cape High Court on 14 October. The 35-year-old will remain in custody at Pollsmoor Prison. It's not yet clear whether he will be charged with attacks on other women in the area. SOURCE: EWN
