Masina has been meeting with representatives from the business sector to outline his vision for the city. With Ekurhuleni being the only metro in South Africa without a university, Masina says the private sector must work with government to ensure a higher learning institution is built in the city. Masina says it's totally unacceptable that such a major city does not have a tertiary institution. He also emphasized that close ties with the private sector is vital in ensuring poverty alleviation in the metro.
