Of course, finding the time to do that can be a bit difficult when you’re already stressing about the end of year exams coming up. But finding time to relax is just as important as hitting the books. So, here are five ways you can enjoy spring when you have a Saturday or Sunday free.    Take a hike If you live near a mountain then you really have no excuse not to take a hike on a lovely spring morning. You don’t need to be the fittest you’ve ever been. You can take it as easy as you need. Dress comfortably and pack loads of water so you don’t get dehydrated. And remember to check the weather. Plan a picnic When you’ve checked the weather and see that it’s going to be a nice day, call your friends and organise a picnic. Everyone can bring a few snacks and a blanket. It’s simple, delicious and not too expensive. The best times to picnic are mid-morning and mid-afternoon. If you go at midday, you’ll get the sun at its peak.   Host a braai Braaing is a popular South African pastime and for good reason. You get to chill with your favourite people, have a few drinks and eat some yummy food. If you have a garden or courtyard, host a relaxed afternoon braai. Just make sure to send out your invites a few days earlier so you’ll definitely have guests. Play a sport You don’t need to join your varsity soccer team to enjoy playing a sport. You can get a group of friends together and kick a ball around (or hit a ball around or throw a ball around). There’s no need to be competitive but a little friendly competition could make it even more fun. There’s also the added benefit of exercise. So, get your sports bra out and sweat a little.    Do brunch Brunch is a great way to eat a delicious breakfast without having to get out of bed too early. Plus, you can always have some champagne and orange juice. And you don’t need to go out to an expensive restaurant to enjoy brunch. You can simply do it yourself at home or at a friend’s place.   Image: Pexels
