Van Tuka real name Botshelo Ramonne born and raised in a village called Mocoseng Phatsima near Mahikeng. A philanthropist, a go getter and a game changer, whose’s dream is to uplift and develop his community and motivate young people to never stop dreaming and to work hard to reach for the stars.   Micampus magazine caught up with Botshelo for an interview regarding the Van Tuka: All Black Party that everyone is talking about.  Botshelo says that Van Tuka: All Black Party, which is his annual birthday celebrated on the 3rd of April is all about giving back to the community. The main aim of this event is to raise funds which will be used to change a young or an elderly person’s life in his community. His says growing up in a village seeing some families struggling to put food on the table, seeing other kids going to school in winter without shoes and warm clothes bothered him and right there and then the struggles of other people propelled him to dedicate his life in making a difference and  to better lives of other people.   In 2016 Botshelo (Van Tuka) hosted a “Give a shoe to the needy campaign and winter school uniform donation". On the day of his birthday celebration he and his team went to donate furniture, learning material and food parcels at Boineelo Early Learning centre in his village. In this year’s All Black Party, Botshelo wants to raise funds to keep a girl child at school buy donating sanitary pads to young girls in Mocoseng and to also donate school shoes and warm winter clothes to the less privileged.   Giving back is where you give, and then nothing happens. No benefits for you, no recognition, nothing tangible gets sent your way. Your biggest and sole reward is the realization that you have made a significant change in someone’s life. And if not significant then a positive change nevertheless.   Van Tuka: All Black Party will take place in Mafikeng on the 1st of April 2017 at Aqua Cascading Park; the crowd will be entertained by one of the best dj and producer in Mzansi Mobi Dixon, Solid-T and some of the best local acts. Be sure not to miss this one, it’s a Van Tuka: All Black Party weekend.   Article:Tebogo Edwin Lesoro
