Born and raised in Bloemfontein, also known as the City of Roses, student Mihlali Nondala (20), has been selected as mentor at CampusKey, the premier provider of secure student accommodation where young, eager and aspiring minds thrive.   Currently in his third year LLB at the University of the Free State, Nondala completed his schooling at Brebner High School. Not only has he been selected as mentor, but was also recognised for his academic excellence by Golden Key and invited to become part of the organisation. The Golden Key International Honour Society is the world’s biggest academic honour society and selected a record number of Kovsie students as new members this year. More than 700 top achievers have been invited to join the prestigious society – the biggest crop of students thus far.   As part his responsibilities as mentor, Nondala will need to ensure that CampusKey students are informed and aware of all the activities at the residence. “I accepted the position because I’m passionate about people and a natural born leader.  I’m very relatable and would like to make the first year students feel part of our vibrant community - living, learning and sharing together. We’re not only here to graduate, but also to have best time of our lives in a secure environment. I’ll meet all my responsibilities with gusto and hope to make everyone feel at home.” Nondala adds that their weekly events include skill sharing and time to build each other up. “We want students to have a support network, build connections and make lifelong friends.”   He has been staying at CampusKey for two years. “It has been nothing but amazing living here. The staff are always helpful, friendly and kind, which I value above everything. I would recommend CampusKey to students for many reasons. It’s fully furnished, so all you need to bring are your clothes and books, it’s within a walking distance to campus and is simply the best student accommodation in the country!”   A musician at heart, Nondala spends some of his free time playing cello. “I also enjoy staying on top of current affairs, reading novels and chilling with friends and family,” he adds.   He only has two goals for this year. “I want to resist procrastinating because it’s a time thief. Furthermore, I want to excel academically and maintain my 75%+ aggregate,” Nondala concludes with a smile.   CampusKey offers locations throughout South Africa, including Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Potchefstroom, Pretoria and Stellenbosch.
